Family Spice Recipe for Orange-Glazed Chicken Wings

Orange-Glazed Chicken Wings

 

 

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 inch piece peeled ginger, grated
  • 1/2 cup orange marmalade
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp hot sauce (optional)
  • 4 lb chicken wings, tips removed if desired
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

 

  1. Preheat broiler to 500ºF and position rack in top-third of the oven.
  2. In a large bowl whisk together:
    • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
    • 2 inch piece peeled ginger, grated
    • 1/2 cup orange marmalade
    • 1/4 cup soy sauce
    • 1/4 tsp hot sauce (optional)
  3. Wash and pat dry:
    • 4 lb chicken wings, tips removed if desired
  4. Line bottom and sides of a deep baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly oil the foil.
  5. Season chicken wings with:
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  6. Place wings in the bowl with the sauce and toss to coat.
  7. Spread wings in 1 layer onto oiled sheet.
  8. Broil wings 7 minutes, then turn over and baste with sauce from pan.
  9. Continue to broil, turning and basting, until chicken is cooked through and browned in spots, 20 to 25 minutes.

Difficulty: Easy

Servings: 4-6

Serving Size: 2/3 - 1 lb wings per serving

Serving Suggestions: Great for dinner or as an appetizer. Serve with salad, Broccoli Slaw or assortment of raw vegetables (carrots, celery, cauliflower).
