Family Spice Recipe for Simple Stuffing

Simple Stuffing

This is a classic stuffing to serve with your holiday meal. This recipe provides you with a delicious and moist side dish.

 

 

 

  1. Heat a large non-stick skillet and add:
    • 2 TBS olive oil
    • 1 medium onion, diced
    • 1 bunch of celery, diced
  2. Cook until vegetables start to soften, approximately 7 minutes and add:
    • 1 TBS crushed garlic
  3. Mix in with the vegetables:
    • 1 loaf of bread, cut into 1 inch cubes
  4. Season with:
    • 1 1/2 tsp celery salt
    • 1 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
    • 1/2 tsp pepper
  5. Mix everything well and add:
    • 2 cups of chicken broth
  6. Reduce heat to low and simmer covered for 20 minutes. You can also put stuffing in a 9x11 Pyrex dish and bake at 350º for 20 minutes. Cover with foil to keep moist. If you like a crispier stuffing, keep uncovered.
