INGREDIENTS:

  • 3/4 cup 1 cup heavy whipping cream, chilled
  • 2 TBS sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

 

  1. In a large bowl, combine:
    • 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream, chilled
    • 2 TBS sugar
    • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  2. Using a handheld mixer or stand mixer with a whisk attachment, blend cream on medium-high speed until soft peaks form, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Soft peaks mean that when a whisk is dipped into the whipped cream and lifted out, it will produce pointed mountains or peaks that droop at the tip. Stiff peaks mean that the tip doesn't droop, but it holds its shape.
  4. Whipped cream can be refrigerated in a covered bowl for up to 2 hours.
